LOS ANGELES – Kayla Wilkie, Team Leader-Design and Development with Majestic Realty Co., has been named a recipient of Connect Media’s annual Next Generation Awards recognizing young commercial real estate leaders in North America who are making a significant mark in the real estate industry.
Wilkie joined Majestic in 2018 and currently leads design and development of various projects in Texas and Nevada including casinos, luxury multifamily, entertainment districts and resorts. Wilkie serves in various capacities including the development and implementation of business and leasing strategy, placemaking/branding, design and development. Prior to joining Majestic, Kayla was a student at Texas Tech University where she earned her Bachelors in Business Administration from the Rawls College of Business with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance.
Most recently, Wilkie served as the creative design and development team leader for Fort Worth’s new, award winning resort, The Hotel Drover-Autograph Collection, set in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards’ National Historic District. The resort serves as the anchor to the award-winning Mule Alley, an entertainment and mixed-use destination transformed from beautifully restored 100-year-old horse and mule barns also developed by Majestic. Wilkie’s participation and leadership on these projects resulted in the Hotel Drover being singled out by Forbes magazine and Travel and Leisure magazine as one of the top hotels opening in the world in 2021. In addition, the Drover has been nominated for both the prestigious Stella award as well as Hospitality Design HD magazines global design awards for 2021.
