CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA – Commerce Construction Co., L.P. a wholly-owned subsidiary of Majestic Realty Co., has named Ryan Merlette, a 20-year industry veteran, as its new president. He takes over the leadership position following the retirement of longtime company president, John Burroughs. In his new role, Merlette will provide leadership to the design and construction teams responsible for executing and delivering both Majestic Realty Co. development projects, as well as projects for third-party clients. Burroughs remains as a member of the Majestic Realty Co. board of directors.
Merlette joined the Commerce Construction team in 2017 and has served the company as executive vice president in the corporate headquarters over the past three-and-a-half years. Prior to that,
he led company projects and growth in the Portland, Oregon market as a vice president/district manager; senior project manager; and project superintendent.

Prior to joining Commerce Construction, Merlette worked for a large heavy civil general contractor, where he served in various capacities on design-build projects spanning the Northwest, remote Alaska and Hawaii.
A native of Redding, California, Merlette earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from California State University, Chico.
