Majestic Realty Co. Thursday night got approval for its final planned warehouse on 441 acres of former Bethlehem Steel land.
The 508,821-square-foot warehouse is expected to be a distribution center, joining existing Crayola and Walmart distribution facilities at the Majestic Bethlehem Center. About 9,000-square-feet of the new proposed building will be dedicated to office space.
Majestic’s Eric Scheler told the Bethlehem Planning Commission that they were working with a prospective clients on the building, but declined to provide further details, like the potential number of jobs created.
The commission unanimously granted Majestic conditional approval for the warehouse at 3769 Commerce Center Blvd. off Route 412 on former Steel that has been redeveloped into an industrial park.
Majestic’s master plan for the site calls for eight buildings with the potential to expand two. Thursday’s review of building five is the final warehouse to come before the commission.
