Majestic Realty Co. Tenants Raise More Than $100,000 For San Gabriel Valley Nonprofits
City of Industry, CA (Dec. 17, 2008) – For the eighth-consecutive holiday season, the Majestic Realty Foundation and tenants at Majestic Realty Co.’s. Crossroads Business Park joined forces at the annual Crossroads Holiday Fundraiser to raise funds for local charities. The 2008 event raised more than $100,000.00.

“We’re heartened by the continued support for this event,” said Dave Bui, vice president office properties group “Once again we are impressed by the enthusiastic turnout and the donations to the local charities that do so much to benefit our community. We see such a tremendous need right here in our own backyard, and this is one of the ways we give back.”
Proceeds from the Dec. 11 event will support four local nonprofit organizations:
· Bridge of Faith—Established in 1996, Bridge of Faith is committed to assisting youth as they emancipate from the foster care system, offering support through a privately operated, volunteer staffed residence home. www.bridgeoffaith.org
· Citrus Valley Health Foundation—The Foundation supports Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, Inter-Community Hospital in Covina, Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora and Citrus Valley Hospice in West Covina. With a service area that encompasses more than 900,000 people, collectively the facilities have been serving the residents of the East San Gabriel Valley for 85 years. www.cvhf.org
· Mt. San Antonio College Foundation—An organization which raises funds to support Mt. SAC and provide affordable, quality education to local students. The Foundation supports unique programs on campus including the fire technology department, which helps to prepare the next generation of firefighters and paramedics, as well as the childhood development center which welcomes children of students, staff and community members from birth to age five regardless of gender, ethnicity, or physical disability. www.mtsacfoundation.org
· THINK Together—An organization that provides free high quality academically-oriented after-school programs to more than 30,000 students in Southern California regardless of race, creed or socioeconomic status. www.thinktogether.org
“THINK Together is grateful to be selected as a beneficiary of this year’s Crossroads Holiday Fundraiser, and for its ongoing partnership with the Majestic Realty Foundation to bring high-quality after-school programs to children in the San Gabriel Valley and throughout Southern California,” said Randy Barth, founder and CEO.
More than 1,000 Majestic tenants, employees, vendors and guests attended the event, which was held at the Atrium Building of Crossroads Business Park in City of Industry. Guests purchased opportunity drawing tickets for the chance to win luxurious gift baskets, prizes and vacations, with all proceeds benefiting the selected charities. Additionally, guests brought donations of new, unwrapped toys to benefit the El Monte / South El Monte Emergency Resource Association. This year attendees were treated to live performances by the Mt. San Antonio College Chamber Singers and the Jazz Band. The Chamber Singers have won international acclaim earning the title of “Choir of the World” at the Uangollen International Musical Eisteddfod Competition in Wales.
To reinforce employee giving, the contributions of all Majestic Realty Co. /Commerce Construction employees were matched two-to-one by the foundation’s generous employee matching program, funded by Majestic Realty Co. Chairman and CEO Edward P. Roski, Jr. and president, David A. Wheeler.
“Our employees are generous year-round, but it is especially gratifying to see their willingness to give during the holiday season, when so many local families are in need,” Roski said.
