AWARDS & RECOGNITION
Thanks to the dedication of our team members across the country, the Majestic Realty Foundation earned praise in several of our markets recently:

At the 2008 Angel Awards held in Henderson, Nevada, In Business Las Vegas magazine honored the Foundation for its philanthropic endeavors throughout the Las Vegas region. Founding president Fran Inman accepted the award and thanked her Majestic Realty and Commerce Construction employees for their dedication to active philanthropy.  According to In Business, the Angel Awards are presented annually to “remarkable people and businesses in Southern Nevada who make a difference in the charitable landscape of our community.” Recent Foundation grantee Spread the Word Nevada – Kids to Kids also was honored at the Angel Awards.

In Los Angeles, Women Against Gun Violence (WAGV) honored Fran Inman at the 13th Annual Courageous Leadership Awards brunch. She was singled out for spearheading the Foundation’s violence prevention efforts—especially the foundation's work with the Los Angeles Youth Leadership Council and other organizations to prevent youth violence. Also honored were Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton and Billie Weiss, MPH, associate director of the Southern California Injury Prevention Research Center at the UCLA School of Public Health.

In the San Gabriel Valley, the Foundation received recognition from two local nonprofits.  Our recent grantee, Bridge of Faith H.O.M.E., which assists emancipating foster youth, lauded the Foundation at its “A Taste of H.O.M.E.” event.  Also honored were California State Senator Ron Calderon, Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe and Mr. & Mrs. Carl Hillquest. Additionally, the San Gabriel Valley Volunteer Center presented Fran Inman with its 2008 Spirit of Volunteerism Award for her “demonstrated and outstanding leadership in community service and philanthropic endeavors.”
